Ask Nora Question Guidelines

The weekly Ask Nora Psychic Advice Column has been created to offer visitors an opportunity to see my work and share some of my insights. Two questions will be selected each week and addressed publicly on the AskNora Advice Column site. Guidelines for submitting a question are as follows:

Question Subject Matter and Phrasing Questions seeking guidance in areas that are commonly problematic will be given preference. Because AskNora covers only 2 questions per week, questions that many people could relate to or gain insight from are more desireable. If you are concerned about a specific area of your life, phrasing your question in a more general way, would put your concerns in a context that may speak to more people, resulting in a higher chance that it will be chosen. An example of a question that would be considered universal and of potential benefit to many visitors, as well as the same issue but asked in a different way, is presented below.

Good Question
I have been friends with a man for 2 years. He is thoughtful, attentive, we seem to really click. I have strong feelings for him but I can't help but feel the adoring look I see in his eyes might be wishful thinking on my part. Nora, how does he really feel about me and what can I expect here?

Poor Question
How does Joe feel? What does he want?

The first question is asked in a way that allows the viewer to relate their life and their experiences to the question. They can apply the answer to their own situations and benefit from it. The second is phrased in a way that makes the viewer feel removed from the question, they do not know "Joe" or what he means to the person. It is more detached and of less value to the viewers of this site. This is not to say that a question phrased this way will not get chosen, and that every question phrased in an open way will make it on to the site, just a helpful tip on getting your questions better odds of being published.

Topical Diversity I will be doing my best to select questions and address issues that are diverse and varying to offer a dynamic display of my abilities and insights, as well as an interesting range of topics. In doing so, my hope is that the column will contain something that appeals to and applies to everyone!

Resubmitting Your Question If you submitted a question and it has yet to be published, you do not need to resubmit. I will be keeping all questions and may use them on future columns.
