When will my abusive ex-husband get out of my house? I have asked him to leave over and over.
While I am sure it is no surprise to you, he does not respect you or your wishes. I sense he sees himself as having power over you, being in control of you, and he does not intend to take orders or direction from you. I feel that he does not believe that the home should be yours, and he is staying to prove a point, out of spite, and to show you that you can not control him. He has severe control issues, and is using this as a way to control you further. From what I am picking up, it is necessary for you to involve the courts and get assistance from the police to make him leave. He will not respect you or your demands, so you will have to get help from a stronger authority, one that he has no choice but to request. I advise contacting the courts, and looking into obtaining an order, to help you assert your independence from him, and get away from his destructive behavior. Best wishes to you.
