welcome to the forums sweetie.

From what I am picking up sweetie he does not want to get involved in a relationship right now. I sense he has recently had a really negative and frustrating experience, and views relationships as just inviting drama into your life. When he felt confident that you liked him, he pulled away and distanced himself from you, so that nothing would happen or develop. He felt much safer being himself and so you could see that he was mutually interested, but when he backed off, even though it was never verbalized, it felt like a rejection. Just remember hun that this was not about you, he still likes you and feels an attraction, he just has some really strong issues that will not allow him to open up to you right now.
