While I was pregnant, I had many strange dreams, but one in particular stood out to me. In the dream I was sitting in a chair in a very dark room, alone. I was facing a door that was slightly opened from which I could see light. I could see dark figures of people walking in and out of the door.

I would like to know what is the meaning, if any, of this dream.

Dreaming of a closed or nearly closed door will generally signify a sense of missed or closed off opportunities, isolation at times. The significance of what was on the other side, light, and people walking and carrying on their usual business, indicates that you were expressing a sense of isolation or being closed off from the rest of society, the darkness in the room you were in, signifies peace, calm and quiet, essentially I believe this dream was expressing a sense of peace and serenity, yet also a sense of being different and set aside, while you were pregnant and preparing for the birth of your child. As you were anticipating the birth, you were also in a different state and place in your life, and this was being expressed in the dream. Best wishes to you hun :)
