Methods of Divination used in my Psychic ReadingsDivining is the act of looking toward the future to gain insight into past, present and potential situations to come. While some see it simply as fortune telling, true divination is not that concrete or narrow in scope. Divination is most productive when used to evaluate situations and possible outcomes. It can offer insight as to what action could influence the future outcome in a more positive way, and what changes could bring a more favorable light to situations. There are a variety of ways one can do this. While this list is in no way complete, it details the methods of divination I am experienced and comfortable with, and use in readings on occasion or when requested by a client.
It's important to remember that while tools of divination are amazing, powerful and to be treated with respect, the higher power lies within ourselves, in the positive change and spiritual growth we can achieve in our lives with the knowledge we gain from them.

Tarot cards are one of the most well known and commonly used divination tools. There is an amazing variety of Tarot cards influenced by a diverse rainbow of artistic styles, cultures and beliefs. Generally each card reflects a specific theme or meaning that weaves a scenario when placed in a pattern or spread, with other cards. The cards can provide answers to specific questions or provide insight into more complex and long term situations such as life direction, career development, in the past, present or future. An extensive Tarot card reading can span your entire lifetime and offer very detailed influences and patterns that have affected your current situation.
Runes are a series of symbols of Norse origin that originated from an ancient alphabet. The characters were believed to be magical and sacred, often used in the casting of spells or curses as well as writing. Runes have a rich history of use in divination and there are a multitude of ways they can be applied in readings. As in Tarot, each rune has a specific theme or meaning, however the definitions tend to be more general and focus more on internal thought, feelings and reflection. Runes are often carved on wooden tiles, stones or even printed on cards. The runes are laid out in a pattern or spread, and used to interpret and offer guidance to specific situations or questions asked, as well as more general scopes.
I Ching is an ancient method of divination of Chinese origin. It's source is the book of change, and the concept behind it is as simple as the duality of yin and yang (yes/no). Combinations of lines representing the yin and yang form hexagrams which represent specific themes and ideas. The lines are often derived from a series of coin tosses with each side of the coin representing the yin or the tang. While quite complex to execute and often general in nature, the I Ching can offer great insight and wisdom as it brings a great deal of internal thought and reflection to the reading process.
Gazing is something that anyone can do so long as they have an open mind, sight, and a reflective surface. Virtually anything can be used although the smooth reflective surfaces of crystal, glass or water are most commonly used. The surface reveals visions or patterns that can provide insight into a questions or situation. At times images or visions totally unrelated or confusing are revealed, but keep in mind this is often a medium used by spirits trying to get messages through to loved ones. The key to success is to be able to let go of all thoughts in your mind and let the imagery appear naturally. Gazing is a wonderful tool for self exploration and reflection as well.
Gemstones are used in divination as well as healing and spell krafting. They have been an integral part of many ancient cultures and are very powerful tools. Each stone has inherent qualities and effects that can provide relief, cleansing, relaxation or stimulation to various parts of the body in humans and animals. They also contain an energy that can encourage or enhance Psychic ability and creativity. It is also possible to use the smooth surface of crystal points for gazing and channeling.
